David Collins transitioned from a career in process engineering and technical sales to the recruiting industry in 1999 when he joined the company owned by his father, an established recruiter in the pharmaceutical industry. Recruiting along his side for several years, he successfully placed professionals in a variety of areas of focus within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. In 2004, after having conducted successful Oncology Marketing Director searches for his clients, David decided to focus exclusively in the growing oncology sales and marketing area.

David formed Commercial Oncology Search, Inc. (COSI) in 2006. Since then COSI has enjoyed many successful and ongoing partnerships with oncology-focused clients who were seeking to grow their commercial capabilities.

Due to growing client demand and to take advantage of its established network and reputation within the commercial oncology space, COSI invested heavily in technology, process improvement, and training programs. This upgraded infrastructure and streamlined process enabled the firm to easily bring on additional search consultants in a “plug and play” manner.

COSI now has nine search consultants working collaboratively and successfully placing candidates in oncology sales and marketing positions with our clients. For large expansion projects, several others are available to help on a project basis and can easily be plugged into our established infrastructure, automated training, and recruiting process.
